Landholders have been invited to bring along laboratory test results to have them interpreted at a soil workshop to be held in Murgon next month.
The Burnett Catchment Care Association is hosting the “Understanding Soils Workshop” at the Murgon Services Club from 8:30am to 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 25.
The aim is for landholders to gain a better understanding of soil and the need to monitor its health over time.
The workshop will be presented by independent agricultural consultant David Hall.
It will cover:
- How to interpret soil test results,
- Results from recent local soil tests, and
- Implications for management and nutrition requirements for improved pasture/crop production and soil health.
Registrations to attend must be made online by July 21.
