Cherbourg hosted a big day of junior and senior rugby league at Jack O’Chin Oval last Saturday.
The home crowd would have gone home happy after the Hornets racked up a huge win over rivals Murgon in the A Grade local derby.
This weekend, the Hornets will face a tougher task against the Kingaroy Red Ants, who are unbeaten so far this season.
The two A Grade games will be played on Saturday afternoon at Murgon Sportsground.
The South Burnett Eagles U15s and U16s, who found themselves caught up in some controversy last weekend at Gatton, will be playing away at Dalby, while the Under 18s Eagles will be enjoying a bye.
Next weekend (June 24), the Wondai Wolves will be hosting their Women In League round.
As has become a tradition, the club will have a special Ladies Day function in the clubhouse running alongside the on-field action.
There will be music, games, raffles and a prize for the Best Dressed Lady.
The theme is “Pastels and Petunias”.
Cost is $30, which includes a lucky door ticket, snacks, sweet treats and a drink on arrival.
