The Autumn VaxBus will be returning to the South Burnett next month to offer more free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to residents.
The bus visited the region last week, but was so popular another visit has now been arranged.
The Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN initiative will be offering COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines for children aged 5-11, Pfizer Bivalent for adults, and flu vaccines.
All vaccines are free and no Medicare Card is required, but residents have been asked to bring along a legal form of ID such as a driver’s licence or passport.
The bus will be parked near the libraries in Wondai (10:00am-1:00pm) and Murgon (2:00pm-5:00pm) on Thursday, June 1.
“Offering both COVID-19 and flu vaccines is an important initiative to keep our community as healthy as possible as we head into winter,” Darling Downs and West Moreton CEO Lucille Chalmers said.
The COVID-19 and flu vaccines can be received during the same visit.
“To anyone seeking their COVID-19 vaccine, booster or flu shot, we encourage you to visit the VaxBus and get vaccinated,” Ms Chalmers said.
