Members of the International Miniature Aerobatic Club will be converging on Kingaroy this weekend to take part in a two-day competition.

The competition is being hosted by the Kingaroy Aero Modellers Society at their field just outside town.

Volunteers from the club were working hard on Friday to get their airfield in tip-top shape for the competition.

KAMS president John Box said some of the aircraft competing would have a wingspan of up to 3.6m and be powered with 200cc, four-cylinder two-stroke motors.

The local club will also be hosting a dinner for the visitors on Saturday night at the Kingaroy RSL Club.
