Rotarians have a big night planned at the Kingaroy Town Hall on April 1 to recognise local achievers.
The Rotary Satellite Club of Kingaroy Sunrise will be launching the inaugural South Burnett Training Awards.
Kingaroy Sunrise chair Mark Pitt said these awards would celebrate the work being done by students and small businesses in the South Burnett.
“This is an exciting time to be an apprentice or trainee,” he said.
Nominations can be submitted by any South Burnett resident; the entry conditions and nomination forms are available online
On the same night, the Rotary Club of Kingaroy will be announcing their 2023 Pride Of Workmanship award winners.
These awards provide an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the efforts of individuals in their place of employment.
The selection criteria for the Pride of Workmanship Award includes:
- Demonstrated pursuit of excellence in work practices,
- Approach to work tasks and fellow workers,
- Customer service or standard of service delivery and
- Quality of personal attributes.
“We ask you to consider nominating a person from your workplace or from a business or organisation who you know. By nominating an employee or person who you know to be worthy of receiving the award, you are endorsing and affirming a demonstrated pursuit of excellence in work practices,” Mr Pitt said.
Nominations for the Pride Of Workmanship awards can be made on this form (718kb PDF) and submitted by email
Tickets for the night will be available on Eventbrite from Friday (February 10).
“We plan to start early in the evening to allow us to present awards to school-based trainees, apprentices and vocational education students first,” Mr Pitt said.
