The South Burnett Saints AFL club unveiled their plans for the 2023 season at a family fun day at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Saturday morning.

Club president Jeremy Zaccardi said training for the U12s and U14s mixed teams (girls and boys) is now under way, on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

The club would also be fielding senior men’s and women’s teams in the Darling Downs competition.

This is expected to kick off on April 22 (to be confirmed).

The fun day encouraged players to sign-up for both the junior and senior teams.

There was also practise with tackle bags, a handball competition, market stalls, sausage sizzle and bar – and plenty of activities for the youngsters, including a jumping castle, free fairy floss and an animal nursery.
