A 16-year-old boy has been charged following two recent stolen car incidents in the South Burnett.

A police spokesperson said the teenager had been located at an address in Beattie Street, Cherbourg, where he was taken into custody.

He has been charged with 28 offences including five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of robbery, three counts of enter premises and two counts of stealing

The charges follow an incident on Tuesday where police used road spikes to stop a stolen Subaru Outback.

Police will also allege the youth was involved in the theft of a Holden Cruze in Kingaroy on November 28.

The teenager will appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court.

Investigations are continuing.
