Father Christmas arrived in a golf buggy driven by local resident Richard Hamilton

December 6, 2022

Santa chose a golf buggy to make his annual visit to the Kumbia Christmas Carnival on Saturday night.

When he hopped out of his transport, the jolly gentleman was immediately mobbed by children wanting to share their Christmas wishes with him.

Santa’s visit at the end of the evening topped off a night of raffles and the traditional (and well-patronised) sausage sizzle.

A good crowd turned out for the event, with adults browsing the market and gift stalls while children enjoyed a jumping castle.

Another visitor who dropped in was Constable Clancy, also popular with the children.

Inside the hall, the entries in the annual Christmas Tree display – prepared by various Kumbia organisations – decorated the stage.
