Two men have died following a mid-air collision between two light aircraft at Kybong on Wednesday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said initial investigations suggested the aircraft collided about 2:45pm before crashing into a paddock near Glory Hill Road.
The pilots and sole occupants in each aircraft, an 80-year-old Caboolture man and a 77-year-old Glenwood man, died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
UPDATE: A police spokesperson said the aircraft involved were a glider and an ultralight.
