Local not-for-profit groups will share more than $1 million in grants from the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

The Round 114 grants were announced by the State Government on Friday morning.

Among the biggest winners are the Mondure community with the hall committee granted $100,000 towards the replacement of Mondure Hall’s roof and $30,727 for a local co-operative water scheme.

The Ironpot Hall Association also received $20,000 to put towards the replacement of the Ironpot Hall roof.

Tansey Bowls Club, which was devastated by floods earlier this year, will receive $100,000 to upgrade the facility, and Goomeri Show Society will receive $64,835.

Kingaroy State School P&C will receive $100,000 to repair courts and pathways and install an elevated slab.

Wondai-Proston Wolves will receive almost $100,000 to upgrade their fields, shed and canteen.

Wondai Tennis Association ($93,610) and Blackbutt Tennis Club ($48,140) have also been supported for court upgrades.

  • Tansey Men’s Bowls Club – Upgrade facility – $100,000
  • Tansey Show Society – Repair tennis court, clubhouse and buy equipment – $61,457
  • Wooroolin QCWA – Construct storage building – $34,340
  • Widge Hall And Recreation Association – Upgrade facility’s electrics – $17,600
  • Windera State School P&C – Construct playground – $35,000
  • Wondai Tennis Association – Resurface courts and install basketball hoop – $93,610
  • Wondai Proston Wolves RLFC – Upgrade fields, shed and canteen – $99,994
  • Wondai RSL Sub-Branch – Repair roof – $24,819
  • Woolooga State School P&C – Install electronic sign – $28,000
  • Yarraman Progress Association – Upgrade website – $2500

The 23 groups received a total of $1,022,332.
