Tickets have gone on sale for the Mayor’s Community Charity Luncheon which hopes to being Christmas cheer to local families in need.

All funds raised from the event will be distributed by local charities.

The charity lunch will be held on Friday, November 25, at Kingaroy Town Hall.

Tickets can be bought for $25 at all Council Customer Service Centres.

Mayor Brett Otto encouraged South Burnett residents to buy a ticket and join in a festive feast for a good cause.

“This luncheon is an opportunity for us to come together, share a wonderful meal, think about how privileged we are to live in this beautiful region, and pay it forward to those in our community who may be doing it tough,” Mayor Otto said.

“Christmas is a time for hope and a time for giving, so please purchase a ticket to the Mayor’s Community Christmas Luncheon so we can make it an extra special Christmas for everyone in our region.”

The Mayor’s Community Charity Luncheon will be entertained by Friends of the Shed, and there’ll also be raffles for a variety of prizes generously donated by South Burnett businesses.
