Aussie Land and Livestock’s Special Store Sale at Coolabunia last Thursday showed the effect of recent rain across the region.

A smaller than usual yarding of 260 head was put to a local buying panel.

Despite this, prices remained in step with other recent sales.

Sale results:

  • Steers topped at $7.18/kg with most selling a little cheaper depending on quality
  • Weaner steers averaged $6.36/kg, with top sellers securing $7.06/kg
  • 300-400kg feeder steers averaged $5.20/kg, topping at $5.60/kg
  • Heifers topped at $6.02/kg, averaging $5.55/kg for weaner heifers
  • Feeder heifers topped at $5.30/kg, averaging $5.08/kg across the board

No fat cattle or cows and calves were put up for sale.
