Hospitalisation numbers for COVID-19 in Queensland have dropped to under 100 for the first time since the Omicron wave hit Queensland.
Figures released by Queensland Health on Friday show that – at midnight on October 4 – there were 96 people being treated for COVID-19 in Queensland hospitals, including two patients in intensive care.
In comparison, on September 1, there were 308 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, including 11 in ICU.
Another 14 people have died with COVID-19 during the latest reporting period, taking the total number of deaths in the State since the pandemic began to 2215.
