UPDATE: Tragically Mr Barker has been found deceased. The media, public and SES volunteers have been thanked for their assistance.
Earlier:
Police are asking for public assistance to help locate 67-year-old Lee Barker who has been missing from Kingaroy since last week.
An extensive land search by police and SES volunteers is continuing on Monday.
Mr Barker was last seen leaving an address in Kent Street, Kingaroy, about 3:00pm last Wednesday (June 23) in his vehicle, a silver 2011 Hyundai i45 sedan (rego 464-DHO).
The car was found abandoned later that day near a paddock on Logan Road at Wooroolin.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition which requires medication and can cause disorientation and lack of awareness.
Mr Barker is described as Caucasian in appearance, 178cm tall with a proportionate build and a grey beard with moustache.
Residents in Kingaroy and Wooroolin are asked to check under their houses, in sheds and carports for signs of Lee.
Police are urging Lee, or anyone else with information on his whereabouts, to contact them; particularly motorists travelling on the Bunya Highway who may have seen Lee or given him a lift.
