Recently re-elected Member for Maranoa David Littleproud has reminded residents that the third round of the Fostering Integration Grants program is now open.
Mr Littleproud said the program was about supporting activities that celebrated and empowered multicultural communities, deepened cross-cultural understanding, and helped to strengthen social cohesion.
“This is a great opportunity to show our support for multicultural communities and to bring our vibrant cultural and religious events and celebrations back to life as we emerge from the pandemic,” Mr Littleproud said.
There are two funding streams under the program:
- Grants of between $15,000 and $100,000 will be available for projects that encourage greater integration and cross-cultural understanding, including cultural events and festivals
- Grants of between $20,000 and $100,000 will be available to support projects that enhance existing community spaces and amenities through fit outs, extensions or upgrades
Applications close on June 14.
