A driver has been charged with drink-driving and drug possession after a single-vehicle crash in Knight Street, Kingaroy, last Tuesday (May 10).
Police were called to the incident, near Kingaroy Street, about 8:45pm and found that a white Mitsubishi sedan had mounted the traffic island and struck a tree.
A 41-year-old Gumlu man allegedly blew 0.171 BAC when tested by police and also allegedly had a small number of cannabis seeds in his possession.
He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 9.

Kingaroy police are investigating the theft of building materials from a number businesses between May 14-16.
The thieves gained entry by cutting fences and entering yards. Businesses targeted included:
- Sawtell Street business – overnight on May 9 and again on May 13
- Doonkuna Street business – between May 14 and May 16
- Edward Street Business – overnight May 14
- Queen Street business – overnight May 14

A 60-year-old Cooroy man was issued with an official caution for failing to give way after a collision between two vehicles on the corner of Krebs and Thompson streets, Murgon, about 3:35pm on May 12.
No one was injured in the incident.

A driver was was fined $643 – and lost six demerit points – after he was allegedly detected doing 136km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Chinchilla-Wondai Road at Chahpingah about 11:10am on May 11.

A 25-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 9 charged with unlicensed driving after his Holden sedan was stopped by police in Banksia Drive, Kingaroy, on Saturday afternoon.
Checks allegedly revealed the man’s licence was demerit point suspended.

A 32-year-old Cherbourg woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on May 25 charged with disqualified driving after her vehicle was pulled over by police on Barber Street, Cherbourg at 10:20am on Friday.
