Australian Rules returned to Kingaroy on Saturday, and the vehicles parked alongside Lyle Vidler Oval proved that local fans have been missing the game.
The South Burnett women took on the South Toowoomba Bombers, but their tough start to the season continued with the visitors taking home a 37-point win.
The Saints’ men had an even tougher task, facing Coolaroo who went through last season undefeated.
They managed to bring home two goals.
This Saturday, the Saints’ teams will be back on the road, with both the men and women playing the Bombers at Toowoomba.
