South Burnett Regional Council will give $57,600 to 28 community groups in the latest round of its twice-yearly Community Grants and Regional Arts Development Fund programs.

Cr Danita Potter announced the successful grant applicants at Wednesday’s standing committee meeting.

The grants will contribute towards the upkeep, maintenance or expansion of a number of community-owned facilities, including insurance for four community halls and the establishment of a new Parkrun group in Blackbutt.

They will also fund four cultural events, two of which are aimed at children.
