Queensland exporters looking to access new markets can now get a kickstart of up to $25,000 through the State Government’s New Market Program.

Treasurer Cameron Dick said the latest $400,000 funding round would allow businesses to tap into new overseas opportunities.

The $25,000 grants are offered as matched funding.

“These grants are targeted at giving exporters that breadth of export markets to make them more resilient to changing global circumstances,” the Treasurer said.

“This funding can be used to produce promotional collateral, for sample distribution and market-specific certifications, or to attend international tradeshows.

“We’re giving local businesses the boost they need to reach buyers in priority markets like Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, with the support of international TIQ commissioners.”

Applications are open until Monday, May 23.
