A total of 520 head of cattle were yarded by Aussie Land and Livestock at the Special Store Sale last Thursday (March 17).

The market was firm to slightly easier on some descriptions.

The sale featured some very good quality lines of weaner and yearling cattle.

There was also a limited supply of export cattle, cows and calves, and PTIC in the yarding.

Sale results:

  • 463kg Droughtmaster X feeder steers ex-Corndale sold to $5.20/kg and $2410
  • 293kg Limousin X steers ex-Blackbutt made $6.82/kg and $2000
  • 260kg Angus X steers ex-Goomeri sold at $7.28/kg and $1893
  • 284kg Angus X steers ex-Cooyar sold to $7.10/kg and $2017
  • 195kg Angus X steers ex-Booie sold for $7.60/kg, returning $1488
  • 268kg Angus X steers ex-Sexton achieved $7.02/kg and $1882
  • 266kg Limousin X heifers ex-Booie sold to $6.78/kg and $1808
  • 241kg Angus X heifers ex-Sexton made $7.12/kg and $1722
  • 212kg Limousin X heifers ex-Booie sold for $7.71/kg and $1636
  • Shorthorn cows & calves ex-Ellesmere made $3500

Upcoming Sales

  • The next sale will be the SBLX Fat and Store Sale at Murgon Saleyards on Tuesday, March 22.
