Murgon police are investigating three fires in the local area which appear to have been deliberately lit.
About 5:40pm on February 10, grass on the corner of Douglas and Leitch streets, Murgon, was set on fire.
Later the same day, about 6:30pm, grass under Bill Roberts Bridge in Lamb Street, Murgon, was lit.
About 10:30am on February 13, another fire was lit on Lamb Street.

Drugs
- About 3:00pm on February 3, police allegedly located seven cannabis plants when they searched a home in Harm Street, Murgon. A 59-year-old Murgon woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 29.
- At 2:00pm on February 10, police intercepted a pedestrian on Lamb Street, Murgon, and conducted a search during which they allegedly located a quantity of cannabis on person. A 27-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 23.
- About 2:00pm on February 10, police stopped a pedestrian in Gore Street, Murgon, and allegedly located drug utensils. A 31-year-old Goomeri man has been charged with possessing a drug utensil and failing to take reasonable precautions with a syringe and needle. He will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 15.
- About 10:50am on February 12, police stopped and searched a vehicle in Edward Street, Wondai. It will be alleged they located amphetamine and a drug utensil inside the vehicle. A 25-year-old Kingaroy man was charged with possessing drugs and a drug utensil. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 3.
- At 12:40pm on February 10, police searched a house in Jerome Street, Cherbourg, and allegedly located alcohol, cannabis and drug utensils. A 25-year-old Cherbourg woman has been charged with possessing restricted liquor and will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 23. She was also issued with a drug diversion notice.

Stealing
About 12:35am on February 7, a thief stole two jerry cans from the tray of a utility parked in Haly Street, Wondai.
About 9:00am the same day, two jerry cans were stolen from a ute parked in Bramston Street, Wondai.
Investigations into both matters are continuing.

Break and Enter
Between 1:00am and 3:00am on February 13, a thief broke into a home in Broadway Street, Cherbourg, via a window and stole money and cigarettes.
On February 14, a would-be thief gained entry into a house in Broadway Street via a window about 3:45am. The offender was disturbed by the occupant and fled from the residence. It is not believed anything was stolen.
Investigations into both incidents are continuing.
