Murgon cricketer Courtney Sippel was named Player of the Match in the Australia A victory over England A on Wednesday.
The Australian women claimed a 52-run victory over the English, helped in no small part by Sippel’s four wickets.
The one-day match, the third in the series, was played at EPC Solar Park in Canberra.
Sippel finished with 4/31 off 9.1 overs, and at one point was on a hat-trick, claiming the scalps of Mady Villiers and Ellie Threlkeld in consecutive balls.
Her other victims were Alice Davidson-Richards and Sarah Glenn.
Australia A was 9/261 at the end of their 50 overs and then bowled out the English side for 219 in the 47th over.
The victory completed a clean sweep by Australia A in the series.
They won their first T20 matches, played in Adelaide, by three wickets and 10 wickets respectively. The third game was washed out.
Shifting to Canberra for the one-day series, the Aussies won Game 1 by 42 runs and Game 2 by eight wickets before the 52-run win in Game 3.
