COVID-19 testing will return to Kingaroy Hospital from Wednesday (January 26).

Testing will no longer be available at Kingaroy Airport after 1:30pm on Tuesday.

Due to the public holiday, testing on Wednesday at the hospital will be available from 9:00am to noon only.

After this, the usual hours will be:

  • 7:30am to 1:30pm – Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am to noon – Saturdays, Sundays
  • 9:00am to noon on public holidays

“Testing helps us to quickly find as many cases in the community as possible,” a Darling Downs Health spokesperson said.

“This helps us to do everything we can to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

“If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or are a close contact you can receive a test at the Kingaroy Hospital.

“Traffic conditions have changed along Youngman and Albert streets. Please follow the directional signage.

“Symptoms include fever, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, vomiting or nausea, cough, shortness of breath, headache, diarrhoea and lost of smell and/or taste.”
