Emergency services scrambled on Saturday night after reports an aircraft was experiencing difficulties while approaching Kingaroy Airport.
A QPS spokesperson said police were called about 8:00pm after reports a light plane was flying very low and was about to crash.
Police conducted extensive patrols of the area but nothing was located.
The QPS spokesperson said there had also been no reports of a missing light aircraft so the incident was being treated as a false alarm.

Paramedics transported a motorcycle rider to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash on the D’Aguilar Highway on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the incident, near Moore, at 10:47am.
