South Burnett Regional Council CEO Mark Pitt has had his contract renewed for another four years.
Mr Pitt’s current contract expires on June 30, 2022.
After a discussion of an externally prepared performance review – held in camera during Wednesday’s general meeting – councillors voted to renew Mr Pitt’s contract of employment from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026.
Mr Pitt was not present during the discussion or subsequent vote.
Councillors also approved that a workshop be held with Mr Pitt and all councillors to discuss the CEO’s strategic objectives and KPIs for 2021-22 and an ongoing performance review.
A report from this workshop will be brought to the February General Meeting for adoption.
The vote to renew Mr Pitt’s contract was carried unanimously.
