A bogged vehicle sparked a grass fire along the Bunya Highway near the Stuart River on Friday morning.
Three fire crews were called to the incident at 10:20am.
They found the vehicle safe but a grass fire burning along the side of the highway.
They had the fire contained within 10 minutes but remained on the scene to make the area safe.
Smoke from the fire disrupted traffic on the highway.
