Western Downs Regional Council has appointed long-serving staff member Jodie Taylor as its new Chief Executive Officer.
CEO Taylor was officially appointed to the role at Council’s Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday following a recruitment process.
Mayor Paul McVeigh said the appointment signified a new era of leadership in the region.
“CEO Taylor brings a wealth of local knowledge, experience, and capacity to communicate and engage with staff, businesses and the broader community,” Cr McVeigh said.
Mrs Taylor has more than 25 years of experience in local government and has worked for Western Downs for the past 15 years.
She has been the General Manager for Community and Liveability for the past six years and has been Acting CEO since former CEO Ross Musgrove resigned in August.
