A free COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination hub will be running at the Murgon Visitor Information Centre later this month.
The pop-up hub will be open from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday (November 16) and Wednesday (November 17).
There is no need to book … just walk in!
The vaccination opportunity has been organised by the Darling Downs and West Moreton Public Health Network.
The PHN is also bringing a “VaxBus” to the region. It will visit:
- Kaimkillenbun – 35 to 45 Delacy Street – 8:30am to 12:30pm, November 8
- Cooyar – Cooyar Memorial Park, McDougall Street – 1:30pm to 4:30pm, November 10
- Yarraman – 7 Emmert Street – 8:30am to noon, November 11
- Maidenwell – Pool Street Service Road – 1:30pm to 4:30pm, November 11
- Wooroolin – Dalton Park – 8:30am to 10:30am, November 12
- Tingoora – Sportsground, Charlestown Road – 1:00pm to 4:00pm, November 12
- Proston – Blake Street (opposite Library) – 9:00am to noon, November 13
The walk-in hubs can provide first or second doses of the Pfizer vaccine for anyone aged over 12.

Department of Health figures as at November 1 (by Local Government Area):
- Cherbourg – 37.7 per cent (1st dose), 26.9 per cent (2nd dose)
- Gympie – 73.0 / 59.0
- Somerset – 74.5 / 59.2
- South Burnett – 74.2 / 55.8
- Toowoomba – 81.1 / 66.2
- Western Downs – 73.3 / 55.9
In comparison, the rates for the Brisbane City Council area are 82.9 / 71.5.
UPDATE: Another 48 people were vaccinated in Cherbourg on Wednesday.

Queensland Health issued a public health alert on Wednesday morning for a contact tracing location in Goondiwindi after an interstate truck driver tested positive to COVID-19.
The driver was infectious in the community for one day (October 31) and has since left the State.
