Four South Burnett high schools will be opening on Saturday to enable people to receive last-minute COVID-19 vaccinations.
Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango State high schools and Goomeri P-10 will be open from 8:00am to 2:00pm for walk-in vaccinations.
The four schools will be opening as part of a “vaccination blitz” this weekend in a bid to encourage people who have not yet been vaccinated to come forward.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the pop-up clinics were being offered in multiple regions but the focus was on areas with a low vaccination uptake.
“We need Queenslanders to vaccinate before it’s too late,” the Premier said.
“Vaccinations are the key to saving lives and reuniting Queenslanders with their friends and family.
“We’re working hard to make it as quick and easy as possible for all Queenslanders to get vaccinated.
“Super Saturday is our largest vaccine push to date.
“If you’ve been saying you’ll just wait a bit before getting the vaccine – it’s time for you to come forward and get vaccinated now.”
