A woman aged in her 40s suffered an electric shock during Friday night’s thunderstorm in the South Burnett.

Paramedics were called to Boondooma Dam just after 6:00pm after reports a woman had received an electric shock from a nearby lightning strike.

She was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

The second night of storms across the region brought down more trees, including a large eucalypt that blocked Mount Stanley Road near the Nanango Men’s Shed, and trees near Butter Factory Park in Nanango.

Hail was also reported in the Silverleaf, Cloyna and Proston areas.
