Former police officer Trevor Ballin dropped in to have a chat with Kingaroy Volunteer-In-Policing Peter Verbakel and Nanango Officer-in-Charge Sgt Brett Smith

Another successful “Coffee With A Cop” was held in Kingaroy on Tuesday morning, with officers from Kingaroy, Kumbia and Nanango stations chatting to residents.

Inspector Chris Pemberton, from Kingaroy, joined Nanango Officer-in-Charge Sergeant Brett Smith and Kumbia OIC Senior Constable Todd Armstrong at Muffin Break in Kingaroy Shoppingworld.

Sgt Smith said it had been a very busy morning with lots of people stopping to chat.

“Coffee With A Cop” days have been held regularly in Kingaroy, Kumbia and Murgon since 2018.

Residents have the opportunity to raise concerns with local police in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

A reminder: The South Burnett’s annual National Police Remembrance Day service will be held on Wednesday (September 29).

The 2021 service will be hosted by Nanango’s Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Gipps Street from 10:00am.
