A section of Cherbourg Road will be reduced to single-lane traffic next week while roadworks take place.
South Burnett Regional Council will undertake two days of heavy grading of the road shoulders on a section of Cherbourg Road, beginning next Wednesday.
A Council spokesperson said the work was part of a two-stage preparation ahead of bitumen resealing later in the year.
The project is being funded by Council and the State Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.
“In order to provide a safe work environment, a one lane road closure will be in place whilst work is under way,” the spokesperson said.
“The areas will be controlled by signage and traffic controllers as required.
“Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.
“Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst works are in progress.”
