The Grand Finals of the South Burnett soccer competition were played on Saturday night at Tom Alford Oval in Kingaroy.
Wests took out the men’s competition defeating Nanango Panthers; while the Panthers defeated Gunnettes in the women’s game.
The end-of-season trophies were also presented:
- Golden Boot – Raegan Campbell / Thomas Mangan
- Rising Star – Renee Kratzmann / Ryan Harper & Ryan Maudsley
- Player of the Year – Raegan Campbell / Zac Knight
- South Burnett Referee of the Year – Darcy Brady
Earlier in the day, the Grand Finals of the competitive Junior competitions were played at Wondai Sportsground:
- Under 12/13s – Black’s Electrical Kingaroy Redbacks def. Mister Minit Redbacks 5-2. Player of the Match – Heath Knight (Black’s Electrical)
- Cadets – Chinchilla def. Dalby 2-0. Player of the Match – Pain Brennan (Dalby)
