Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council CEO Chatur Zala has been presented with the top award at the annual conference of the Local Government Managers Australia (Queensland).
The LGMA is the peak body for Local Government professionals in Australia.
The Queensland “Manager Of The Year” award recognises outstanding leadership and management excellence in local government.
It is open to senior managers who are employed by a Queensland local government and have been for a minimum of 12 months.
Nominations can be made by employers, mayors, councillors, supervisors or co-workers.
The award was presented to Zala at the Flamingle Gala Dinner in Cairns on Friday night.
Well deserved recognition and congratulations for Chatur Zala, a most dedicated Chief Executive Officer. The administrative arm of Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council is in good hands. Best wishes for Zala’s continued future in Local Government.
