A Very High fire danger has been forecast for the Wide Bay Burnett region on Tuesday.
QFES Area Director for the South and North Burnett, Inspector Martin Taylor, said there were concerns of a high fire risk ahead of a cold front coming through.
Soil dryness and low humidity made the risk of fire greater with any strong winds.
On Sunday afternoon, a Bushfire Advice warning was issued for Pie Creek, in the Gympie region around the Green Trees and Herron roads area.
A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said the warm conditions were expected to peak in south-east Queensland on Monday ahead of a cool change on Monday evening.
Cooler and breezy conditions are expected for Tuesday, with a risk of morning frost in the southern and south-eastern interior.
Insp Taylor said BOM had predicted a dry September but a wet October through to December.
UPDATE: The Pie Creek alert was cancelled at 4:46pm on Monday.
