The Bunya Bull Sale held at Coolabunia Saleyards on Saturday offered buyers a choice of 73 beasts.

The top three bulls sold for $20,000 each, and another sold for $18,000.

The sale was run by Aussie Land and Livestock and Grant Long.

It produced an average price of $9264.

The three leading sales were:

  • ‘Vale View Dusty 2’ – offered by Dave and Colleen Smith – was sold to the Carter family of Cedar Springs Droughtmasters in Casino for $20,000.
  • ‘Bryvonlea Ultimus’ – offered by Brian and Yvonne Heck – was also sold to the Carter family for $20,000.
  • ‘Vale View Damon 2’ was purchased by Wayne and Sue Caldwell of Kameruka at Ironpot for $20,000.

The next highest price was $18,000 paid for ‘Mingo Tyson’, which was bought by the Turner Brothers of Childers.

The day’s volume buyer was the McConnel family from Mount Brisbane Pastoral Company in Esk, who bought five bulls.
