Kingaroy residents worried by all the men dressed in blue suits in Fisher Street on Friday afternoon can relax.

South Burnett Regional Council was called in to check an asbestos removal operation from a private building which may not have gone totally to plan.

Council staff erected fences to keep the public away as staff ensured the area was safe.

Glue was sprayed to make sure no particles could become airborne.

A Council spokesperson urged residents to always comply with regulations in regards to handling asbestos.
