Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien is “recovering well” after his motorcycle accident last month.
Mr O’Brien, who is the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has been on sick leave following the crash at Lakeside Raceway on July 17, where he was riding with friends.
He suffered a fractured skull and vertebra, bruising, strains and soft tissue injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A spokesperson told southburnett.com.au on Tuesday that Mr O’Brien was recovering well and was expected to return to work next Monday.
