The University of Southern Queensland will be holding an Open Day this Sunday (August 15) for prospective students.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Geraldine Mackenzie encouraged people to come along to be inspired by a passionate team of lecturers and current students.

The Open Day will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the uni’s campus in West Street, Darling Heights.

“It is a great opportunity to get questions answered and explore our suite of industry-relevant degrees,” Prof Mackenzie said.

“Alongside information sessions and campus tours, attendees will get a chance to participate in hands-on activities that will get them excited to start their studies.

“For example, you can explore our research laboratories, theatre spaces and moot court, or perhaps venture out into the field with our paramedicine mobile unit or flight simulator.

“We also have a wide range of career insight sessions such as ‘A day in the life of a psychologist’, ‘Archaeologists don’t dig dinosaurs’ and ‘Agricultural technology for flights to Mars’.”
