Paramedic Anne-Marie Praeger, Kingaroy QAS officer-in-​charge Mei-Lin Dean and Paramedic Thomas Powell at Tuesday’s morning tea

A special morning tea was held at the Kingaroy Ambulance Station on Tuesday morning to farewell one paramedic and welcome a recent arrival.

Anne-Marie Praeger has been based in Kingaroy since March 2018 and is now transferring to a station in Brisbane.

Thomas Powell started in Kingaroy last month.

The former intensive care unit nurse studied a Bachelor of Paramedicine and Nursing at Queensland University of Technology.

Kingaroy is his first station after graduating.

Kingaroy QAS officer-in-​charge Mei-Lin Dean presented Anne-Marie with a gift from her colleagues.

Local Ambulance Committee (LAC) president John Box thanked her for her service and welcomed Thomas to town.

Members of the Kingaroy LAC as well as many paramedics from the Kingaroy station attended the morning tea.

There are currently 19 QAS paramedics based in Kingaroy.
