Murgon Show Society is organising a special “Farmers’ Day Out” at Murgon Showgrounds on July 31, complete with some “virtual” ag show-style competitions.
There will be markets, games and food stalls plus the “virtual show” which will include photography, decorated Arrowroot and pet parade classes.
Each entry will be via photographs sent to the Murgon Show Society via Facebook Messenger.
The Show Society has chosen photography categories which it hopes will encourage photographers to explore Murgon – and think outside the box:
- Class 1 – “The Qld Dairy and Heritage Museum”
- Class 2 – “Lilyponds Of Murgon”, and
- Class 3 – “Murgon’s Main Street (Lamb St)”
The Decorated Arrowroot classes cover all ages. Again, entry is via a photograph of the Arrowroot creation.
The Pet Parade class is for photographs of “pets” in their “natural habitat”.
Entries close on July 16.
