Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking feedback from residents across the region – including Yarraman – about how they use community facilities.
Cr James O’Shea said Council was interested in hearing from the community to ensure it provided the level of service residents expected.
“We provide a wide selection of services throughout the Toowoomba Region and we want to make sure these facilities are operating at the right level for our community,” he said.
“The types of buildings we want to hear about ranges from community halls to cultural centres, indoor sport centres, libraries, art galleries, those leased to community groups and buildings at showgrounds.
“The community’s feedback will help us understand how, when and where you use these facilities, and what could potentially be improved.
“This information will assist Council to undertake measures to improve utilisation that reflects community demand.
“To ensure the outcomes are well-supported by the community, there will be additional opportunities to provide feedback when the draft report is ready for community consultation.
“Separate surveys will also be sent directly to lessees, user groups and school principals.”
The survey is available online and will close on Friday, June 18, at 5:00pm.
