Three local projects are among 60 to be funded under the latest round of Toowoomba Regional Council’s community grants program.
- Yarraman Memorial Hall Society will purchase equipment for is community meeting rooms.
- Rosalie North Landcare Group has been funded to conduct a Cat’s Claw Creeper eradication project along Cooyar Creek.
- Maclagan Windermere Kindergarten will hold a community and family outdoor movie night.
TRC endorsed the $430,000 Round 2 of its Community Grants Funding program for 2020-21 at its April Ordinary Meeting.
Cr James O’Shea said the grants were open to the community two times a year.
“Council is always working to enrich and enhance our region by providing funding for groups to complete upgrades or deliver new programs across areas such as sport and recreation, culture and the arts, the environment and events,” he said.
