An all-day workshop will be held in Kingaroy next month designed to help artists – and arts organisations – learn more about raising funds to support their activities.
The “Fundamentals Of Arts Fundraising” workshop is one of three being organised by the Central Queensland Regional Arts Services Network (CQ RASN) with support from the South Burnett, Bundaberg and Fraser Coast councils.
Paul Gurney, from Creative Partnerships Australia, will be leading the day.
Paul has a degree in arts management and has held leadership and Board roles with numerous arts organisations including Next Wave, Open House Melbourne, Freeplay: Independent Games Festival and the Arts Industry Council of Victoria.
The workshop will be held from 9:30am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 20, at the Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy.
Cost is $40 (+GST) which includes lunch, tea and coffee and snacks.
Tickets must be booked online
The workshop aims to assist:
- Arts professionals, leadership teams and Board members who want to learn the basics – or have some experience – of arts fundraising, philanthropy and sponsorship
- Leaders and board members of regional arts organisations and projects; and
- Individual artists in and around Kingaroy
The other workshops being organised by CQ RASN are being held in Bundaberg (April 13) and Maryborough (April 15).
