Steve Lamb pulled up at the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre to collect a peanut sticker for his tractor

Local residents may have spotted a bright orange tractor pulling a caravan trundling through South Burnett streets on Monday.

Steve Lamb, from Biloela, was just taking his Chamberlain 9G tractor back home after the Goombungee-Haden tractor trek at the weekend.

The 1960s-model tractor has been modified and is now totally street-legal which means Steve can drive it (and his accommodation) to machinery events.

He clocked up about 1500km on his latest adventure but is planning a much longer trip later in the year.

So long as the borders remain open, Steve plans to take part in the Chamberlain 9G Tractor Club of Western Australia’s famous tractor trek from Byron Bay to Steep Point at the end of June.

Footnote: Having trouble with the name of Steve’s machine? Bindardundatgoinagin” can be translated as “Been there, done that, going again”!

The 1960s Chamberlain is road registered which means Steve can take it anywhere
