Work to build a new footpath in Bell Street, Kumbia, began this week.

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the works were scheduled to be completed in about three weeks.

The project, which has been funded through the Drought Communities Programme and Council’s 2020-21 capital works upgrade program, will include the removal of trees and the demolition  of the old concrete footpath.

It will provide pedestrian access from Francis Street to the existing footpath in front of Kumbia State School.
