South Burnett Regional Council’s free “Farmers Night Out” dinners are happening around the region from this Friday.

The aim of the dinners – funded through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program – is to assist with community wellbeing and raise awareness about supports available for drought recovery.

They will feature guest speaker Mary O’Brien (“Are You Bogged Mate?”) and entertainment by Larry Cann.

A two-course meal will also be provided.

The Farmers Nights Out are scheduled for:

  • Friday, November 27  at Proston Hall (spaces left)
  • Saturday, November 28 at Murgon Town Hall (booked out)
  • Thursday, December 3 at Blackbutt Memorial Hall (spaces left)
  • Friday, December 4 at Kingaroy Town Hall (spaces left)

The Farmers Night Out dinner events will be operating in line with Queensland Health Directives and have a COVID Safe checklist in place.
