The Federal Government is calling for nominations for chairs for the various Regional Development Australia (RDA) organisations across Australia.
The Wide Bay Burnett RDA – which is responsible for the South Burnett region – is currently chaired by former Isis Shire mayor Bill Trevor who was appointed in January 2015.
The national network of RDA committees works with all levels of government, business and community groups to support and encourage economic development opportunities.
Applications for the role of chair are sought from business and community leaders who have strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate must be capable of leading the committee, setting the strategic direction and achieving outcomes.
The appointment term is on a voluntary basis for 4.5 years.
