A motocross rider was seriously injured in a crash in the South Burnett region on Friday afternoon.

An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said the man, aged in his 30s, had been riding a motorbike when he lost control and hit a tree.

He suffered multiple injuries.

The medevac chopper was despatched at 3:30pm.

Ambulance paramedics and the RACQ LifeFlight critical care doctor stabilised the man at the motocross park before he was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A rescue helicopter was despatched to Manar Park, near Boondooma, on Saturday morning after reports another motorcycle rider had been injured.

A QAS spokesperson said paramedics treated a patient at the scene for pelvic injuries.

Emergency services were called to this incident at 11:34am.

The patient was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A patient was taken to Gympie Hospital after a reported snake bite at Widgee on Saturday afternoon.

QAS paramedics were called to the private address at 12:36pm.
