South Burnett Regional Council is seeking feedback on a draft code of practice for the Keeping and Breeding of Dogs and Cats.
At its September meeting, Councillors approved the release of the draft code for community consultation.
A copy can be obtained in person from any of Council’s Customer Service Centres or downloaded from Council’s website
Feedback can be mailed to: Chief Executive Officer, South Burnett Regional Council, PO Box 336, Kingaroy, Qld, 4610, before the close of business on October 26.

Council has advised a change in operating hours at the Blackbutt Transfer Station.
From October 2, the station will be closed every Friday between noon and 1:00pm to allow Council staff to service waste skip bins.

Council has advised that gravel resheeting is scheduled for the following locations (weather permitting):
- Tarong-Yarraman Road, Yarraman – from October 6. Expected timeframe for completion is two days.
- Ryan Reagon Road, Neumgna – from October 8. Expected date for completion is October 20. This project is funded through the Roads to Recovery program.
The work areas will be controlled by signs or traffic controllers.
Local access to properties within the work area will be permitted, however some delays may occur.

Council is refreshing its register of pre-qualified suppliers.
New tenders are invited for suitably qualified and experienced contractors for dry hire, wet hire and road and quarry materials.
New suppliers can register their tender application and obtain more information on www.lgtenderbox.com.au (refer SBRC010318).
Submissions must be lodged no later than 2:00pm on October 20.
Existing suppliers can refresh their schedules of rates within the “Felix” procurement platform.

Council is also inviting Expressions of Interest to establish a panel to provide health care services to Council, including:
- Pre-employment medical examinations,
- Injury management,
- Vaccinations, and
- Toxicity screening.
